M/S Rosella

In service Mariehamn–Kapellskär

Built in 1980 by Wärtsilä in Turku, Finland. Length 136 m, width 24.2 m, 10,757 gross tonnes. Capacity of 1,700 passengers (1,184 beds), 340 cars or 43 trailer trucks. In service for Viking Line since May 23, 1980. Upgraded in 1993 and sailed as the Dancing Queen in cruise traffic on the Stockholm–Mariehamn route from spring 1997 to 2003.
During peak summer season, she sailed the Turku–Mariehamn–Naantali (Finland) route, from 1999 to Turku (Finland). In service for Viking Line on cruise routes between Helsinki and Tallinn from August 17, 2003 to April 29, 2008. Since April 30, 2008 in service for Viking Line between Mariehamn and Kapellskär.

M/S Viking Saga

In service 27.06.1980–29.04.1986

Built in 1980 by Wärtsilä at the Perno Shipyard in Turku, Finland. Length 145 m, width 25.2 m, 14,330 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,000 passengers (1,238 beds), 462 cars or 56 trailer trucks plus 38 cars. In service for Viking Line from June 27, 1980 to April 29, 1986. Has sailed under the name Sally Albatross and in Caribbean cruise service as the Leeward. Was chartered to Star Cruises and sailed as the M/S Superstar Taurus. She caught fire at the dock in Stockholm and was refitted in 1992, after which she was in service for Silja Line as the Silja Opera. Registered in 2006 with Sea Container Opera Ltd Bermuda and was not included in the sale of Silja Lines’ other ships. Laid up under the name Opera. Sold to Louis Cruise Lines, Limassol, Cyprus in 2007 and put into service as the Cristal. She replaced the Sea Diamond, formerly the Birka Princess.

M/S Viking Sally

In service 05.07.1980–30.04.1990

Built in 1980 by Jos. L. Meyer Schiffswerft in Papenburg, West Germany. Length 155.4 m, width 24.2 m. 15,566 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,000 passengers (1,190 beds), 400 cars or 52 trailer trucks. In service for Viking Line from July 5, 1980 to April 30, 1990. She later switched to Silja Line under the name Silja Star and was then placed in service for Viking Line for Vasabåtarna as the Wasa King. She subsequently sailed for Estline under the name Estonia, until her sinking in 1994.

M/S Viking Song

In service 30.08.1980–18.05.1985

Built in 1980 by Wärtsilä at the Perno Shipyard in Turku, Finland. Length 145 m, width 25.2 m, 14,330 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,000 passengers (1,238 beds), 462 cars or 56 trailer trucks plus 38 cars. In service for Viking Line from August 30, 1980 to May 18, 1985. Sold to Norway 1985, sailed as the Braemar for the Fred Olsen & Co shipping company. As a charter vessel, she was renamed the Anna Karenina. In service between St Petersburg–Nynäshamn–Kiel. Registered in the Estonian ships’ registry in 1996 and rechristened the Regina Baltica and put into service on the Tallinn–Stockholm route. Sold 2002 to Hansatee Shipping Tallinn (Tallink). In service between Stockholm and Riga in 2006.

M/S Mariella

In service Helsinki–Mariehamn–Stockholm

Built in 1985 by Wärtsilä at the Perno Shipyard in Turku, Finland. Length 177 m, width 28.4 m, 37,860 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,500 passengers (2,500 beds) and 430 cars or 60 trailer trucks. From May 18, 1985 sailing the Helsinki–Mariehamn–Stockholm route.

M/S Olympia

In service 29.04.1986–05.04.1993

Built in 1986 by Wärtsilä at the Turku Shipyard, Finland. Length 163.59 m, width 28.4 m, 37,799 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,500 passengers (2,372 beds), 580 cars and 62 trailer trucks. In service for Viking Line from April 29, 1986 until April 5, 1993. The vessel was then sold to P&O Ferries and today sails as the M/S Pride of Bilbao between Great Britain and Spain.

M/S Athena

In service 24.04.1989–16.08.1993

Built in 1989 by Wärtsilä at the Turku Shipyard, Finland. Length 176.9 m, width 29.6 m. 40,012 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,200 passengers (1,728 beds), 450 cars. In service for Viking Line from April 24, 1980 until August 16, 1993. Sold to Star Cruises and rechristened the M/S Star Aquarius. Put into cruise service from Singapore. Sold to Danish firm DFDS in 2001. In service between Copenhagen and Oslo as the Pearl of Scandinavia.

M/S Kalypso

In service 30.04.1990–01.01.1994

Built in 1990 by Masa Yards in Finland. Length 176.9 m, width 29.0 m. 40,012 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,200 passengers (2,172 beds), 620 cars. In service for Viking Line from April 30, 1990 until January 1, 1994. Now sailing for Star Cruises as the M/S Star Pisces.

M/S Ålandsfärjan

In service 18.05.1987–29.04.2008

Built in 1972 in Helsingør, Denmark. Length 104.6 m, width 18.9 m. 6,172 gross tonnes. Capacity of 1,004 passengers and 185 cars or 18 trailer trucks. In service for Viking Line from May 18, 1987 to April 29, 2008 on the Kapellskär–Mariehamn route.
Sold to The Expedition Shipping Company Limited of Barbados on June 27, 2008. Rechristened the M/S Expedition.

M/S Amorella

In service Turku–Mariehamn/Långnäs–Stockholm

Built in 1988 in Brodosplit, Croatia. Length 169.4 m, width 27.6 m, 34,384 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,480 passengers (1,946 beds) and 450 cars or 53 trailer trucks. From October 14, 1988 sailing the Turku–Mariehamn/Långnäs–Stockholm route.

M/S Isabella

In service Turku–Mariehamn/Långnäs–Stockholm

Built in 1989 in Brodosplit, Croatia. Length 170,9 m, width 27.6 m, 35.154 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,480 passengers (2,166 beds) and 364 cars or 30 trailer trucks. From July 4, 1989 sailing the Turku– Mariehamn/Långnäs–Stockholm route.

M/S Cinderella

  

In service Stockholm–Mariehamn

Built in 1989 by Wärtsilä Marine Meriteollisuus in Turku, Finland. Length 191 m, width 29 m. 46,398 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,560 passengers (2,500 beds) 100 parking places on car deck. In service since 08.11.1989. Has been in 20-hour cruise service on the Helsinki–Tallinn route. Since 2003 she has sailed on cruises between Stockholm and Mariehamn as well as seasonal cruises to the Baltic states.
The ship was painted white when she started her service as cruise ship Stockholm–Mariehamn.

M/S Gabriella

In service Helsinki–Mariehamn–Stockholm

Built in 1992 in Brodosplit, Croatia. Length 171.2 m, width 27.6 m. 35,492 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,420 passengers (2,402 beds) and 400 cars or 50 trailer trucks. The purchase contract was signed on November 18, 1996 and the vessel began service for Viking Line on April 17, 1997. Now sailing the Helsinki–Mariehamn–Stockholm route.

M/S Viking XPRS

In service Helsinki–Tallinn

Built in 2008 by Aker Yards in Helsinki, Finland. Length 185 m, width 27.7 m. 34,000 gross tonnes. Capacity of 2,500 passengers (732 beds) and 230 cars. She was brought into service for Viking Line on April 28, 2008. Now in service for Viking Line on the Helsinki–Tallinn route. M/S Viking XPRS is a new environmentally friendly passenger vessel with leading edge environmental technology. The vessel has modern waste treatment – solid wastes will be sorted and taken to land for either recycling or disposal following regulations. Viking XPRS is also a silent vessel. Engines, air conditioning systems and all other functions producing noise are equipped with noise reduction. Environmentally friendly anti-fouling system no, toxic anti-fouling paints and the vessel bottom will be cleaned by divers. Double bottom will prevent environmental disasters in case of emergencies.
