Åland is an autonomous, demilitarised, Swedish-speaking region of Finland.
It consists of more than 6,500 islands and skerries with untouched nature, fresh
air and the absolute quietness. But here are also guest harbours, hotels and lots of activities.
The network of roads is well developed with bridges and local ferries
providing free service between the islands. Enjoy island hopping by bike or by
car, or hire a small outboard motorboat. Go on an archipelago safari in the
outermost islands and see colonies of seals up close.
