Public transport
Helsinki has excellent public transportation. Around the centre you can get
about on tram. Buses, trains and the metro will take you further out of town.
Your ticket to ride!
The same ticket is valid on all Helsinki trams, buses and the metro as well
as the municipal ferry to Suomenlinna. The tourist ticket offers unlimited
travel for 1, 3 or 5 days on all public transportation within Helsinki. The
ticket can be purchased from all automatic ticket machines, for example from
metro stations.
The group ticket offers unlimited travel for one day with up to six people in
a group, including a maximum of two adults. Group tickets are sold aboard trams
and buses as well as from automatic ticket machines.
Single tickets can be purchased from the driver, from automatic ticket
machines or by mobile phone. Single tickets are valid for one-hour from time of
purchase.
Tram tickets are valid for a single tram ride and can be purchased in advance
from kiosks or from the driver when you board.

One card is all you need!
The Helsinki Card is a handy and affordable way to experience Helsinki. The
card serves as a transport and entrance ticket as well as a discount card. The
card comes with its own brochure and is sold throughout the city, for example at
the Hotel Booking, Tour Shop, hotels, information centres and kiosks. The
Helsinki Card is valid for either 1, 2 or 3 days.
